Terms of Service
This is an initial draft published on 11 October 2026. It describes SPECTRALE as currently implemented and is not a certified legal document. Company-specific details and a legal review will follow.
Scope and service description
These terms cover use of the SPECTRALE website at https://spectrale.tech and the application at https://app.spectrale.tech. SPECTRALE discovers, analyzes, and visualizes software and technical infrastructure from the sources a customer connects.
The service is software. It does not operate, change, or take responsibility for the customer’s own repositories, cloud accounts, or infrastructure.
User registration
During the Private Beta, an account can be used with SPECTRALE only after a valid invitation is activated. You need an email address and must keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. Authentication is provided through Supabase Auth.
Organizations and project permissions
A new account receives a personal organization, and the person who creates it is the owner. Projects belong to an organization. A person can open a project only as a member of that organization. Beta access and subscription limits apply to the organization.
External integrations
SPECTRALE can read sources the customer connects, including a GitHub App installation. The customer chooses what to connect. Disconnecting a source stops further collection from that source. Data already stored in the project can remain until it is removed.
Repository access authorization
You may connect a repository only if you are allowed to grant SPECTRALE the access you authorize. SPECTRALE relies on that authorization and on the permissions the GitHub installation actually has. You are responsible for the repositories, credentials, and instructions you make available to the service.
Automated Discovery and limitations
Discovery is automated. It builds an architecture view from the evidence it can read. It can miss systems, misread relationships, or become stale. SPECTRALE does not warrant that a graph is complete, current, or fit for a particular operational decision.
Customer data and intellectual property
You keep your rights in the repositories, infrastructure information, and other material you connect. SPECTRALE uses that material to provide the service to your organization, including running Discovery and showing the resulting architecture view.
SPECTRALE and its licensors keep their rights in the service, software, and website. These terms do not transfer either side’s intellectual property.
Acceptable use
You may not use SPECTRALE to break the law, to access an organization or repository you are not allowed to use, to interfere with the service, or to probe or attack systems beyond the sources you are authorized to connect. You may not attempt to bypass plan, beta, or security limits.
Subscription plans
Paid use follows the plan Stripe reports for the organization. SPECTRALE enforces the project and data-source limits of that plan. The plans offered, and the price shown at checkout, are the ones presented when the customer subscribes. This draft does not restate prices.
Payments and billing
Payments are handled by Stripe. Access follows the subscription status Stripe reports. It continues while that status is active, trialing, or past due, including when cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current period. This draft does not set billing intervals, taxes, cancellation notice, or refunds. Those follow the checkout the customer completes and the applicable law.
Private Beta access
Private Beta registration is invitation-only. Each invitation link is single-use and valid for 7 days. After activation, the organization receives 30 days of free beta access, one non-demo project, and 10 accepted Discovery runs. No credit card is required. Beta access is not a paid subscription and does not convert into one automatically.
Viewing a workspace and demo discovery do not use a Discovery run. A paying subscription is not limited by the beta run counter. When the beta period ends, new projects, new data-source connections, and new Discovery runs are refused. Existing projects remain available to view.
Usage limits
The beta limits above, and the project and data-source limits of a paid plan, are part of the service. SPECTRALE may refuse an action that would exceed the limit that applies to the organization. A failed or repeated attempt for the same accepted Discovery run does not, by itself, add another use of the beta counter.
Availability and maintenance
SPECTRALE may change, suspend, or maintain the service. This draft does not promise a particular uptime, support response time, or feature set. Beta behavior can change before a paid release.
Privacy and confidentiality
Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy at https://spectrale.tech/privacy. You should not connect material you are not allowed to share with SPECTRALE for the purpose of providing the service.
Suspension and termination
SPECTRALE may suspend or end access when an invitation or beta period expires, when a subscription no longer grants access, when use breaks these terms, or when continuing the service would create a security risk. You may stop using the service at any time. Ending access does not, by itself, delete project data unless deletion is requested or required.
Liability
Discovery output is an aid. You remain responsible for decisions you make about your systems. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, or for any other mandatory statutory liability.
Where the law allows a limitation, SPECTRALE is not liable for indirect or consequential loss caused by an incomplete graph, a missed dependency, or an interruption of the service. This sentence does not apply where a mandatory rule says otherwise.
Consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory rights of the country where you live. These terms do not waive those rights, including any right to withdraw from a paid contract where that right applies, and they do not shorten a mandatory warranty or limitation period.
Applicable law
This draft does not choose a governing law or a court. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply. A later version of these terms may name the operator’s governing law once the legal entity is confirmed.
